Mary Hake Lowrie of New Braunfels, TX passed away on Tuesday, November 11, 2014 at the age of 77. Mary was born to Carl and Eva O'Bar on July 16, 1937, in New Braunfels, TX. Mary lived in New Braunfels with her husband James Lowrie, daughter Donna Lowrie, and grandson Levi Hake. Mary is preceded in death by her parents Carl and Eva O'Bar, and first husband Jack Hake Sr. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, James Lowrie, daughter Debbie Shafer and her husband Norman, of Marble Falls, TX, son Jack Hake and wife Annette of Anniston, AL, son Clay Hake and wife Annette, of Bulverde, TX, daughter Donna Lowrie, of New Braunfels, TX, and sister Frieda Mosier and husband James, of New Braunfels, TX. Also, eleven grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and many wonderful friends. Mary was a member of Peace Lutheran Church of New Braunfels, and an active member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Auxiliary 2999. Mary was a loving wife, world's best momma, sister, and friend. She will be greatly missed and memories of her will be cherished. A graveside memorial service will be held at 2:00pm on Monday, November 17, 2014 at Comal Cemetery.
