Megan Elizabeth Mendez went to be with our Lord on August 20, 2015 at the age of 23. She was born on June 26, 1992 in New Braunfels, Texas. She is survived by her parents Joseph and Linda Mendez of New Braunfels, her younger brother, Jacob Mendez of Austin, and her youngest sister, Jennifer Mendez of New Braunfels; her grandparents, Raymond and Yolanda Mendez, and Marcelino and Rebecca Ponce, all of New Braunfels; her aunts, Mary Flores of San Antonio, JoAnn Ponce of San Antonio, Judy Moya of New Braunfels, Carol Bucchi and her husband Ron of Bulverde, Anna Robicheaux and her husband Daniel of Coppell, TX, and Christina Mendez of San Antonio. She had numerous cousins who loved her dearly. She graduated cum laude from New Braunfels High School in May 2010. She received her degree from the University of Texas in May 2015. As a seasonal pharmacist technician, she had the opportunity to work with her grandfather at Comal Drug. She was aspiring to attend pharmacy school at UT in 2016. Her dream was to eventually take over the family business of Comal Drug. Megan was very active in church ministries throughout her young life and loved to be around children. She was a talented singer, a gifted artist, and a very beautiful soul. All who knew her will be miss her. A Rosary will be held on Sunday, August 23, 2015 at 7:00 pm at Holy Family Catholic Church in New Braunfels. A Funeral Mass will be held at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in New Braunfels on Monday, August 24, 2015 at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery.
