Michael Carrasco, a life-long resident of New Braunfels, passed away on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Christus Santa Rosa Hospital in New Braunfels at the age of 35. Michael was born on July 5, 1977 in New Braunfels to Dana "Butch" Brehm and Maria Carrasco. Michael worked as a maintenance man for most of his working career and was a talented artist. He was preceeded in death by his grandfather, Carlos H. Carrasco and his aunt Michaela Carrasco. He is survived by, the one who raised him, Josefina (Ama) Carrasco, sister Jessica Flores, his favorite cousin Brandy Rodriguez and her husband Marcelino Rodriguez Jr.; nephews and nieces James Jr., Marcus, and Madison; his aunts Molly Carrasco, Isabel Carrillo, Lupe Corona and Juanita Medrano; uncles Chale Carrasco, Cris Carrasco and various cousins and friends. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Sunday, February 24, 2013 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM. All services will end at the conclusion of the visitation on Sunday evening.

  6. My deepest condolences to the family of Michael. We were classmates at NBISD schools from grade school to high school. Although, we didn’t know one another very well it’s still hurts to know that a fellow clasate has parished and gone home to The Lord. Michael may you rest in peace in the comfort of heaven and paint the beauty of heaven and all it’s wonders. :,,-(
