Myndi Padilla, 46, of Levelland, Texas, passed away on March 23, 2026, leaving behind a lasting legacy of laughter, kindness, and love that will never fade. Born on October 31, 1979, in Levelland to Baltazar and Avelina Estrada Padilla, Myndi lived her life like a Texas tornado— fierce, vibrant, and impossible to forget. Every day she found a way to make others smile, whether through her quick wit, kind heart, or boundless energy. She never met a stranger and had an uncanny gift for making everyone feel like family.
A devoted friend, beloved daughter, sister, sister-in-law, aunt Didi, niece, cousin and proud “mom” to her fur babies, Myndi’s joy filled every room she entered. She gave freely of herself — her time, her humor, her heart — and those who knew her were better for it. Her laughter, larger than life, will echo in our memories forever. Myndi now joins in heaven those dear ones who preceded her in passing: her maternal grandparents, Antonio and Josefina Estrada; her maternal aunt, Martha Sylvia Estrada; her maternal uncle, Felipe Sanchez; paternal grandmother, Daria Padilla; her paternal uncle, Ruben Padilla; her sister, Christina Rejino; her brother-in-law, Arnulfo Cera; and her beloved fur baby, Jackson Wayne.
She is survived by her parents, Baltazar and Avelina Padilla; sisters Angie Covarrubias and Rachel Padilla; nieces Mia Gonzales, Ella and Alivia Rejino; nephews Johnathan and Aiden Covarrubias; aunts, uncles, cousins, numerous friends, and her other beloved fur babies, Dexter and Leon. Family, friends, and all who loved her will celebrate Myndi’s incredible spirit with stories, smiles, and the same big-hearted energy she brought to the world every day. Her
legacy is not measured in possessions, but in the countless lives she warmed. We ask all who loved Myndi to help carry her love forward, one small act of kindness at a time.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 1st 2026, at 1 p.m. in the chapel at Trinity Church, 7002 Canton Ave, Lubbock, Texas.

Myndi, I’m going to miss your conversations about life. I enjoyed our talks and how could relate to each other so well. A life taken too soon but I absolutely know you’re enjoying your heavenly home with your sister and loved ones. My heart breaks for your family because that familiar pain is one that doesnt just disappear. The love and positivity you spread will never be forgotten!
Myndi, I grew up with you through school and you were always a bright light in the room. The world will be much dimmer now that you’re gone but Heaven is shining so bright
The last time we spoke, we had so much to catch up on. We were at a powerlifting meet, talking about life and everything we’d been up to, and we ended our conversation promising to get together soon and pick up where we left off. I had no idea that would be the last time I’d get to hug you and see your smile in person on this side of Heaven.
Losing your sister Christina and your uncle Ruben left wounds that haven’t fully healed, but your loss reaches somewhere deeper. It’s the kind of grief that settles in and lingers longer.
Until we see each other again know you will be missed.
Myndi, you were such a light in so many lives. You gave so much love to all you met. I will miss you dearly. I will remember our friendship and time working together fondly. May you rest in eternal peace.
I worked with Myndi a billion years ago at Chili’s in Slide and she was just such a great person with the biggest heart. We had a lot of good times at work and hanging out after. The world is a little darker without her💔
Big prayers for her loved ones.
