Naomi Ruth Boyd Perkins

Naomi Ruth Boyd Perkins, age 77, of Austin, Texas was born on April 17, 1936 in Lexington Texas and passed away April 26, 2013 from complications of Alzheimer's disease. Naomi graduated from Austin High School married Will Perkins and started a family. The military and career opportunities took their family 7 different states and Europe. Naomi loved to travel and had a very quirky adventurous spirit. All through her life she enjoyed raising a variety of animals from birds to donkeys. She especially loved to spoil her cats. Naomi was preceded in death by her parents, Robert (Bob) and Maggie Boyd, along with her oldest daughter Linda Kay Miller, son-in-law Mark Miller, and grandson Shawn Miller. Naomi is survived by her daughters Suzie Spellman and M.L. "LuLu" Perkins; their father, Will Perkins; granddaughters Lisha Spellman, Jenny Dereadt (husband Mike); great-grand-daughter Geneva Spellman; brothers C. Franklin Boyd and Earl Boyd; sister Mallie Coker; numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. Naomi was artistic, delightful, loved and will be greatly missed. The family wishes to thank the entire staff at Soldalis Elder Living (formerly Alzcare) and special thanks to Hope Hospice, both of New Braunfels, Texas for their support.
