Patrick Brian Lawless

Patrick Brian Lawless, 69, of New Braunfels, passed into the loving arms of our Lord Jesus on Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Christus Santa Rosa Hospital in New Braunfels. Born on July 25, 1944 in Worcester, MA, he was the son of the late Thomas Joseph Lawless and Helen Magdalene Monahan Lawless.
Patrick served in the U.S. Army and reached the rank of Captain, before he moved to the Coast Guard Headquarters as a Computer Instructor where he retired in 2004. A Vietnam veteran, he moved to New Braunfels to be closer to family, and spent his last years enjoying the area and especially his dog Mr. Gibbs. He was a great neighbor and brother, and an active member of Saint John's Episcopal Church in New Braunfels. He was a very friendly and likeable person and will be missed by his many friends.
Patrick was a graduate of Akron State University (University of Akron) and Molloy College. He was a member of the Theta Chi fraternity and graduated with honors with a second degree from Molloy College.
Patrick is survived by his two brothers, Bernard John Lawless and his wife Constance Lorraine Thompson Lawless of Canyon Lake, and James Michael Lawless and his wife Virginia L. Lawless of Rittman, Ohio. Bernard has two children, Theresa Faye Lawless of Canyon Lake, and Thomas Joseph Lawless of San Marcos. James has three children, Juliette C. Lawless of Fairlawn, Ohio, Jeanette C. Holmer of Bativa, Ohio and Jonathan M. Lawless of Washington, DC. He also has multiple nieces and nephews of both Ohio and Canyon Lake
A Service will take place at 10:15 am on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery with Military Honors, and a memorial service will be held at St. John's Episcopal Church in New Braunfels at 3:00pm on the same day.

Patrick was a good friend and good person.We would meet every morning walk our dogs .We would stop at our house for tea and breakfast,greatly appreciated by Patrick.Our condolences to the family .

Patrick was one of my favorite customers at my store (best wishes hallmark)you know some of your customers becomes your friend and Patrick was truly MY FRIEND.He will truly be missed by me and others.
