Patsy L. Lange Schubert Owen, a life-long resident of New Braunfels, passed away on Tuesday evening, May 30, 2017 at Kirkwood Manor Nursing Home at the age of 78 surrounded by her family. Patsy was born in New Braunfels to the late Walter R. Lange and Edna Schaefer Lange. Patsy began employment at the Islan Textile Plant and later worked as a cook at the New Braunfels High School and First Protestant Church. However, if you'd ask Patsy, her most enjoyable role was motherhood itself. Her favorite pastimes were country dancing in her youth, and during retirement she enjoyed gardening and watching sports - especially the Spurs! She also loved the Lord, and her church family dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Reinhold Lange and by her step-father, Herbert Marion. Survivors include her beloved husband, Robert L. Owen; children, Charlie Schubert and wife Millie, Tina Taylor and husband Robert, Dennis Schubert and wife Genette, Jerry Schubert and wife Jill and David Schubert and wife Veronica; step-children, Georgia Daughtery and husband Michael, Robert Bennett and wife Diane, Darryl Owen and wife Velma and Denise Smith and husband David. In addition, Patsy is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and a host of dear friends. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, June 2, 2017 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at the funeral home with Pastor Hernando Montoya officiating. Interment will follow at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery on Peace Ave. In Patsy's own words, "I'd like to thank all those who made a difference in my life." Patsy never knew a stranger and her legacy of kindness and love will live forever in our hearts.
