Paul Anthony Toudouze, 75, of Canyon Lake, passed away at his home on Friday, March 13, 2026. Born on November 29, 1950 in San Antonio, TX, he was the son of the late Hazel Gott Toudouze, John Joseph Toudouze and step-mother Nancy Heard Toudouze.
Paul loved living near Canyon Lake and told us about deer and fox moms bringing their babies up to the woods near his house. Paul’s love of nature began when he was a boy living in New Braunfels in a house on the Guadalupe River. He enjoyed canoeing, swimming, and exploring the woods nearby. Paul was an accomplished swimmer and swam on the Winston Churchill High School Swim team. Paul served in the US Navy. His favorite naval destination was Australia. Paul loved to dance and listen to Country Western music. He enjoyed listening to cowboy storytellers.
As a young man he taught dancing at an Arthur Murray studio in San Diego, CA. Paul’s lifelong love of art and drawing started when he was a boy, and he became a great Western artist. During his 75 years he created beautiful pen and ink drawings, Western themed sculptures and deer themed sconces. He also worked in oil painting. His beautiful Western Art survived him.
Paul was a loving and loyal son, brother, cousin and friend. Paul was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.
Happy Trails Paul, until we meet again.
Paul is survived by his sisters, Melissa Cannon and her husband James Cannon, and Sara Toudouze and her husband Brian St. John.
