Petra Mata Garcia passed from this life on Sunday, September 23, 2012 at the age of 90. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gregorio Deleon Garcia on February 23, 2010. Survivors include her sons, Eberardo Sr. and wife, Lupe, Ernesto and wife, Anita, Elpidio and wife, Carmen, Elmo and wife, Anna, and Enebelio Garcia; daughters, Elvira Lopez, Elva and husband, Robert Jimenez, Ercilia and husband, Leo Velez; 29 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Keith Ochoa, Manuel Garcia, Esteban Garcia, Jon Velez, Orlando Huerta and Antonio Parra. Visitation will be held from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM with a prayer service at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, September 26, 2012 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel. The funeral service is scheduled for 9:00 AM on Thursday, September 27, 2012 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Comal Cemetery.
