Ralph Edgar Thomas
December 3, 1948 ~ December 6, 2014
Ralph Edgar Thomas, 66, of New Braunfels, peacefully left us on December 6, 2014. A native San Antonian, he was born on December 3, 1948 and graduated from East Central High School in 1966.
Father of Razen Virginia and Seth Britton Thomas, grandfather of Jayden Britton and Hudson Cole Thomas, husband of Linda Wass, and friend of too many to list, Ralph was a dedicated family man whose family was made up of as many friends as relatives.
Ralph valued serving others, spending 3 years in the Army, including 14 months in Vietnam. He spent most of his career in the San Antonio Fire Department, retiring after 25 years of service.
With an inherent love of automotive and racing, he enjoyed attending race events, following Nascar, and working on vehicles.
He will be greatly missed, especially by his grandsons who affectionately knew him as Paw Paw. He is also survived by his parents Roy and Patsy Thomas of New Braunfels, and brother Robert Thomas of Luling.
A graveside memorial service will be held on December 13th at 11:00 at Rutledge Cemetery in Poteet. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Feed Our Vets at www.feedourvets.org.
