Reynold "Rennie" Arthur Freyer

Reynold “Rennie” Arthur Freyer passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2026 in New Braunfels, Texas. Born on May 15, 1951 in Perth Amboy, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Reynold William Freyer and Clare Theresa Romer.

Rennie is survived by his; daughter, Victoria Lafferty and husband Andrew; son, Sean Freyer and wife Ashley; his grandchildren, Chloe, Amberlynn, James, Christopher, Josephine and Conner; his sister Lynnell Tanner Freyer; his sister-in-law Patricia Reszkowski and many nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

In addition to his parents, Rennie was preceded in death by his wife and best friend of over 50 years,  Therese “Terry” McNulty Freyer; his daughter Jessica; his sister Kathleen Freyer Barbarotta; and his long time friend and brother-in-law Raymond “Whitey” Reszkowski.

Rennie grew up working in his father’s auto parts store, where he became a master of tools and machines. He used his experience to go on and own several companies. He was the guy you went to when you had a problem, and you needed it diagnosed and fixed. He loved his family beyond measure; his wife, kids and grandkids were his reason for living. He could make something beautiful out of nothing and loved every minute of working with his hands – whether it be fixing an engine, building a box or repairing ordinary everyday things. He was passionate about the simpler things in life like putting your feet in the sand at the beach and the laughter that would come from his grandchildren. He was an innovative sincere man fueled by love. He will be fondly remembered by all.

A Celebration of Life will be held in New Jersey at a later date.
