Robert (Bob) Wayne Wooten Sr. , 60 of Spring Branch, Texas passed away July 9, 2023. Bob was born September 8, 1962 in Texas City, Texas to parents Bill Wooten and Carol Prescott. He is preceded in death by his parents and his son, Cody Dax Durand Wooten.

Bob is survived by his son Bobby Wooten and wife Katie Wooten, grand daughter Brinley Wooten, brother Billy Wooten and wife Bea, nieces Autumn and Amanda Wooten, Aunt Kaye Rodriguez, cousins Conrad and Faith Ann Wolf.

Bob was an exceptional athlete and attended Sam Houston State University on a baseball scholarship. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education.

After graduation he moved to the San Antonio area to start his career with H‑E‑B as a Produce Buyer.

Bob was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed taking his sons fishing on the Texas coast and hunting in the hill country.  He also enjoyed playing golf, having a fish fry, and let’s not forget about a having a big barbecue.

He never knew a stranger and will truly be missed by all of his family and friends.

A graveside service will take place on Friday, July 21, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Hill Country Memorial Gardens, 11700 Texas Hwy. 46, New Braunfels, Texas, 78132.

  1. Bob your time on earth has definitely come to soon. As mentioned above you never met a stranger. I remember that from when we first met. Whenever I saw you, you either made me laugh or made me crazy. But the crazy was usually giggle worthy too!! Give your sweet boy a kiss from me 💚💚.

  2. Bobby, my sweet precious cousin, I am going to miss you so very much. Sweet, funny, and a heart of gold!!!
    Eating at Antlers without you will never be the same, and I am sure you know that. Your blue eyes are twinkling and you are saying, “I know, right?” in that sweet southern drawl of yours. I just know it!!!

    In all seriousness, I love you and know you are at peace. Please give Dax a big ole hug and kiss for me. Until we meet again….
