Roberta has been such a big part of my life, since my father, Sidney met her when I was in my senior year of high school. She completely captured my father’s heart, and ours too, and soon they were married. She so graciously took on all five of us kids to go with her own, Gary and James, and also my besties Donna, and Diane. Later as all the in-laws and grandkids came along, she welcomed everyone. She was always so understanding when for one reason or another one or more, of us had to move back home periodically. She really loved looking after all the grandkids, probably even more than bowling, and she was very passionate about her bowling. She also loved cooking, and crafting, fishing, and entertaining the whole family on so many occasions over all the years.
It has been very difficult to see her fade away for several years with such a devastating disease. We will all miss her immensely; but we can be comforted in knowing that now she can be reunited with my father, her son James, and all of her precious memories. Roberta will always live in our hearts, and in Heaven, where she will undoubtably keeping watch over us with the Angels.
We will miss seeing Roberta. She was such a beautiful and graceful lady. We watched her decline and were sorry to here of her passing. Glad she is at peace now and not suffering.
I am not an immediate part of the family, I would say I’m a step step grandkid.. my step moms, step mom, but my whole life I’ve known her. Roberta took me as her own. Treated me just like the other grand kids. Some of my most fondest memories were being at her house with all of my cousins.
I will miss her terribly.
