Roger R. Bissonnette

Roger R. Bissonnette, a resident of New Braunfels, passed away on Monday, October 22, 2012 at Christus Santa Rosa Hospital in New Braunfels at the age of 61. Roger was born on January 8, 1951 in Lewiston, ME to Maurice Bissonnette and Florence Francoeur. Mr. Bissonnette served our country proudly in the United States Air Force for six years, attaining the rank of Sergeant. He was stationed in Guam during the Vietnam Conflict. Then, came to Texas and met and married the love of his life, Ilda "Pat" Bissonnette and shared 38 wonderful years together. Roger was a big man with an even bigger heart, always giving and caring. he will be greatly missed by the whole community and forever loved and remembered in the hearts of his surving family and friends. Survivors include his loving wife, Ilda "Pat" Bissonnette; sons, Anthony Graydon and wife, Lisa, Roger Bissonnette, II; daughter, Misty McCue and husband, Ray; grandchildren, Michael, Erica and Jacob Graydon, Roger, Bissonnette, III, Audrey, Aaron and Nick McCue. In addition, he is survived by one brother and three sisters, and by more than can be counted those who considered and/or called him their brother or dad. Visitation will be held from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, October 26, 2012 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 AM on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at the funeral home. All services will end at the conclusion of the funeral service on Saturday morning. Inurnment of Mr. Bissonnette's cremains with military honors at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery will be held at a later date.

Our love and prayers are with you, Ilda, during these very difficult days and weeks of adjustment. Roger is at home with his Lord and Saviour. We will miss his sparkling eyes and warm smile. It was a blessing to know him.
