Romana Camarillo Alvarado, of Cibolo, TX, born August 9, 1943 to Pedro and Gavina Camarillo, passed away peacefully on Memorial Day, May 26, 2025, surrounded by her family and loved ones. She was one of the strongest women you’d ever meet and left a lasting impression on her family and friends that will endure a lifetime. She was intense, loving, and caring all at the same time and would always jump up to help the people she loved. She also made sure everyone was well fed at her house and made some of the best food imaginable. Romana always lived her life to the fullest. Even after her husband of 44 years, Crescencio Alvarado Jr, passed away in 2009 she endured on her own for another 16 years. Often getting out of the house, playing bingo, shopping, and hanging out with her friends. She loved watching the Houston Astros play while she was at home and hardly ever missed her grandkids’ baseball/softball games. She is survived by her sons, Tony Alvarado & wife Perri, Nicholas Alvarado & wife Glenda; her five grandchildren, Elisa, Chris, Casie, Danielle, and Corbin; her five great-grandchildren, Emma, Amelia, Baker, Cleo, and Olivia; as well as her sisters Santos and Linda.

As per Romana’s wishes there will be no viewing, service, or funeral. There will be a private memorial for the family at a later date. She will be at Zuehl Family Cemetery next to Jr. where she has longed to be for many years.
