Ronald “Ron” Plessl, 84, of New Braunfels, Texas, passed away on April 23, 2026, in New Braunfels, Texas. He was born on March 23, 1942, in Allentown, Pennsylvania, to Joseph Plessl and Rose (Muffet) Plessl.

Ron moved to New Braunfels in 2019 and was formerly of Lower Nazareth Township, Pennsylvania. He was a graduate of Allentown High School and Kutztown University. He proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1964 to 1966.

A faithful Christian, Ron was a devoted member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, LCMC, in New Braunfels, Texas.

Ron built a strong and dedicated career, working at Air Products, Bethlehem Steel, and Mack Trucks before retiring from Foster Wheeler USA in Clinton, New Jersey.

He is survived by his daughter, Eileen E. (Plessl) Lakies, wife of Benjamin J. Lakies, and his two grandsons, Caleb D. Lakies and Alden B. Lakies, all of New Braunfels, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Patricia A. (Zacharias) Plessl; his father, Joseph Plessl; his mother, Rose (Muffet) Plessl; and his brother, Joseph Plessl, Jr.

Ron was passionate about the Weimaraner breed and especially enjoyed showing dogs in conformation with his daughter. He will be remembered for his steady dedication to his family, his faith, and his work.

A Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a Funeral Service at 7:00 p.m. at St. Paul Lutheran Church, 777 W. San Antonio, New Braunfels, Texas.

He will be laid to rest with his beloved wife at St. Mark’s Cemetery in Allentown, Pennsylvania.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ron’s memory to St. Paul Lutheran Church, LCMC.

Ron’s life was a testament to quiet strength, commitment, and faith, leaving a lasting legacy in the hearts of those he loved.
