I was able to visit with Ron in the months before his death and it was a pleasure to have this brief friendship. I could see his love of life and his excitement about the friends he had visit him. I hope those who grieve this loss find hope in Ronnie’s professed faith in Christ and the eternal life gained through faith in Him.
One of my favorite things to do when visiting New Braunfels was to visit Ron and talk about “the state of things.” I found one-of-a-kind Ron to be a seeker of truth and courageous in the face of death. My trips to the neighborhood and the island will never be as interesting. nor as warm.
