Ronaldo "Ronny" Cruz, Jr. a resident of New Braunfels, passed away on February 28, 2013 in Wilson County at the age of 19. "Ronny" was born on October 11, 1993 in Corpus Christi to Ronaldo O. Cruz, Sr. and Rosemary Gloria Cruz. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Miguel and Juanita Gloria and by his paternal grandmother, Dalia C. Cruz. Survivors include his mother, Rosemary Cruz; father, Ronaldo O. Cruz, Sr.; brothers, Mathew J. Cruz and Dartagnan Cruz; paternal grandfather, Matilde R. Cruz; special aunt, Lucy Cruz and husband, Rudy and their son, Rudy, Jr. and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation will be held from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Friday, March 8, 2013 with a Holy Rosary at 7:00 PM. Visitation will resume at 9:30 AM on Saturday, March 9, 2013 at Holy Family Catholic Church, followed by the Funeral Mass, which begins at 10:00 AM. Please note: there will not be a procession from the funeral home to the church on Saturday morning. All wishing to attend both the visitation and Mass on Saturday morning are asked to meet at the church. All services will end at the conclusion of the Funeral Mass. Donations to help cover the funeral expenses may be sent to Lux Funeral Home.

  3. Ronny was an amazing young man. Always so respectful. I remember meeting him when he lived in the same neighborhood. He would come over to play with my boys. Ronny and my oldest son stayed friends through out the years. He will be greatly missed. My prayers go out to his mother and family.

  4. I want to give Ronny’s family my deepest sympathy for your loss of such a lovely young man. I was Ronny’s lunch lady at NBHS. The first day I met him he captured my heart. Such a beautiful smile and always so friendly. I’ve met thousands of kids over the years but there are always a few that stick with you in your mind, they shine just a little brighter. Ronny was one of those kids. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers.

  5. Ronny was a very special young man and none of us here at Premier High School will ever forget him. He was always making everyone laugh. He was sweet young man and we will miss him deeply. We pray God comfort his family.
