Sandra Jean D'Antuono

Sandra J. D’Antuono, a resident of New Braunfels, Texas, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2023, at Kirkwood Manor Nursing Home at the age of 79. Sandra was born on February 28, 1944, in Big Spring, TX to the late Joe B. Nixon and Jewel Ray Nixon. Sandra enjoyed her career as a realtor, then in the residential and commercial property management industry, and retired as the office manager of the finance office at Saks Fifth Avenue. Sandra loved fishing in Rockport, was a veracious reader and an amazing cook. Sandra was a great storyteller, enjoyed writing short stories and wrote a novel. She was preceded in death by her parents; Joe and Jewel Nixon; grandson, Elliott Yates, and by two sisters. Survivors include her children, Richard J. Dantuono, Susan E. Yates and husband, Brett, Deborah M. Eickenhorst and husband, David and David R. Estus; grandchildren, Brandon and wife, Erica, Benjamin and wife, MacKenzie, Evan, Hailey and fiancé, Joel and Kacie; great-grandchildren, Marli, Jack and Grant. In addition, Sandra is survived by her niece, Chris Bradbury and husband, Gary. Memorial services are scheduled for 10:00 AM on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel.
