Sandra passed away peacefully on Sunday January 19 2025 at the age of 78 in
Bella Groves, Bulverde, Texas. Born in Accrington, UK, in 1946, she lived a life
full of adventure, love, and dedication. She married John in 1968 at Saint Marks
Church in Bury, UK, and together they shared 56 years of marriage, raising two
loving children, Christopher and Susan.
Shortly after their marriage, Sandra and John moved to Kent near London, where
she worked as a private secretary in London while raising their children. After 10
years, the family relocated to Northumberland, where Sandra worked at
Newcastle Breweries. Their journey continued with a move to the USA for John’s
work, beginning a three-year adventure that turned into a 30-year experience.
They lived in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Lancaster, Ohio, before settling in
Meadowlakes, Texas, where Sandra spent the remainder of her life.
Sandra was an avid golfer and passionate about travel and enjoyed exploring the world with John.
Her journeys took her to numerous places in Europe, to China where she lived
for three months, and to countries such as Australia, New Zealand, a Safari in
South Africa and Zimbabwe, Guatemala, Peru, the Philippines, Ecuador, Chile,
Brazil, Argentina, Dominican Republic and Costa Rica -where her Golden
Wedding was celebrated with family- along with many destinations in the US and
Canada.
She is survived by her beloved husband John, with whom she shared
unconditional love children Christopher and Susan, their spouses Natalie and
Beau, and her cherished grandchildren George, Pierce, and Campbell. Sandra is
also remembered by her brother Jim and sister-in-law Maureen in the UK as well
as her many friends there and in the USA. Her mother Isa, who lived to the
remarkable age of 100, was a constant presence in Sandra’s life until her
passing in 2021.
Sandra’s warm, positive engaging personality and her ability to make friends
wherever she went will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing
her. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, love, and a life well-lived.
A Celebration of Sandra’s Life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at St. Nicholas Church, 2265 Bulverde Rd., Bulverde 78163.

I am so saddened by Sandra’s passing. We had such fun golfing and socializing in Lancaster. She was such a joy to be with. Love to John. Susan, and Christopher.
