Staci Leigh Rhodes

Staci Leigh Rhodes, age 64, passed away unexpectedly on August 3, 2023, at her home in New Braunfels, Texas. She was born on November 29, 1958 in Missoula, MT to John and GayLou Brookhart. She was married in 1976 to Bruce Kohl in North Dakota and had a daughter Shannon. After their divorce, she met Ray Rhodes which lead her to Texas and this is where they married. She then went on to have three more children Chris, Jeremiah and Alicia, all born and raised in New Braunfels, TX.
She enjoyed fishing, watching her many hummingbird feeders, listening to classic rock and Def Leopard, taking vacations to Rockport and Port Aransas, helping her friends and family anytime they asked and she found joy in visiting with her friends, her children and her grandchildren.
Staci is survived by her children; Shannon Kohl, Christopher Rhodes (Sonnie), Jeremiah Rhodes, Alicia (Rhodes)Wahl (Ross). She is also survived by brothers Darren, Gene, and Shawn Brookhart and their families, As well as all of her wonderful grandchildren and great grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents John Brookhart and GayLou Krebsbach.
Her celebration of life is still to be determined.

We were heartbroken by the news of Staci’s sudden passing. She was a genuine friend and neighbor. I enjoyed her friendship and the times we spent together. Our sincere thoughts and prayers go out to the family. I will deeply miss her. With lots of love, The Miller Family

What a great big sister I had growing up! Staci always looked out for our well being and made sure she protected and loved us 3 younger brothers. She was a big sister I always looked up to. Staci was always so full of life and love, and cared for everyone she knew. I will miss her so very much.
I am comforted by the promise from Jehovah God found in his Word at John 5:28…”Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.” I look forward to the day when we will be able to see our dear Staci again.
