Theodore John Hawkins, 79, of New Braunfels, passed away on Monday, September 15, 2025 in New Braunfels. Born on April 3, 1946 in San Diego, California, he was the son of the late Clyde Alfred Hawkins and Elizabeth Mary Stahl Hawkins.

Ted worked as a code enforcement officer for the City of San Marcos, CA. After he and his wife moved to Florence, Oregon, he worked as a phlebotomist at Peace Harbor Hospital. In Florence, he enjoyed salmon fishing and crabbing. He also enjoyed many trips with his wife, among them several cruises and traveling in Mexico with their motor home. After living in Oregon for 18 years, they discovered New Braunfels, TX and have enjoyed living there and have benefited from the kindness of their wonderful friends from St John’s Episcopal Church and their terrific neighbors.

Ted is survived by his wife, Sarah Deanna Farber-Hawkins. He and Sarah were blessed with their blended family: Sons, Robert and Curtis Hawkins, R. Timothy Smith; daughter, Jacqueline Siracuse; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren; brother, Chris Hawkins; and sister, Lori Winslow.
Ted was preceded in death by his parents, infant son Brian, and brother Rick.

A private entombment will take place in San Diego, California, per his wishes. There will be a memorial service at St. John’s Episcopal Church on Saturday, October 25th at 10:30.
