Thomas C. Merriner

Thomas Merriner, 65, of New Braunfels, Texas, passed away on February 17, 2026. Born on August 12, 1960, in Clarksburg, West Virginia, Thomas was the son of the late Junior and Dorothy Merriner.

Thomas graduated from Clarksburg Liberty High School and went on to build a successful career spanning two decades with Trane as a control systems manager. His dedication and expertise left a lasting impression on his colleagues and the industry he served.

Thomas had a zest for life that was evident in his many hobbies and passions. He enjoyed playing golf, bowling, and softball, often sharing these activities with friends and family. A lover of dogs and an avid traveler, he delighted in exploring new restaurants wherever he went. In quieter moments, Thomas found joy in watching old films and cherishing time spent with loved ones.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 45 years, Mary Merriner; his son, Robert Merriner and wife Christian Merriner of Cibolo; his sister, Claudia Trader and husband J.C. Trader of Clarksburg; and his brothers, Jeff Merriner and David Merriner of Clarksburg. Thomas also leaves behind several nieces and nephews who will remember him fondly. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Thomas’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. May his legacy bring comfort to all who mourn his passing.
