Born in: San Antonio, Texas
Resided in: Canyon Lake, Texas

With a mournful heart, we wanted to let everyone know that our loving Husband, Dad, and Grandfather, Timothy Gerard Huth, has passed away on September 24, 2023 at the age of 68.

Tim Huth, known by his wife, his family and friends as “Tinker” was born on December 23, 1954 to Robert Louis Huth and Bessie Lea Norris in San Antonio, Texas.

In the words of his wife, Betty Huth, “My beloved, my strength, my protector, my husband of 44 years. He loved working in the backyard gardening. Yes, he even liked to quilt. LoL. He liked driving trucks and talking to his good friends and family…we did everything together…he gave me everything…”

He was a dad to many, and loved everyone around him.  He was a man that taught life’s lessons in the simplest of terms.  Tim was the kind of person you would invite to any party, because he would be there without fail. He was the type of person that would always keep your best interest to heart.

He grew up as a mechanic and would be able to replace an entire engine with just three tools and a winch on a tree limb.  Some of you might be appreciating his handy-work without even realizing it.  His younger years were at Zachry and Austin Bridge construction companies helping to build and maintain half the roads and highways in and around San Antonio up to the mid-1990s. If you asked him what type of equipment he could run on a job, the answer was always “Did you ask me what I CAN’T operate?”  From bulldozers, to back-hoes, to cranes, he could run it all, but more importantly, he knew how to drive every piece of equipment onto a trailer to transport it.

In his later years, he moved on into the trucking world, working in the Oil and Gas industry such as A&L Underground, Barber Brothers, and Strike.  These were the years that really gave new meaning to “putting on the miles”.  He would drive, and drive, and drive some more.  He would take this time driving and talk to his wife and kids on the phone.  He loved talking on the phone to his family while he was driving to help pass the time. He always made it a point to take pictures of the dashboard saying how “the cold front has moved in”, yet we could see in the picture that the outside temperature of where he was at was 108 or 112 degrees.

In his final years, he was still driving trucks, but delivering feed and seed around Texas. The best part of this job was that he was able to live at home.  His home at Canyon Lake, Texas is a place that he could come to and enjoy being with family. If home is where the heart is, then his home was being around each and every one of you reading this.

We will never forget you and we will always love you till the end of time.

Tim was survived by his two sons:
Colby Huth and his wife Ramona Huth
Grandson: Caleb Huth
Daric Huth and his wife Julie Huth
Grandchildren: Claire, Jacob, Charlotte and Oliver
