Tomas L. Martinez, 59, of New Braunfels, passed away on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at Christus Santa Rosa Hospital in New Braunfels. Born on October 27, 1956 in Pleasanton, Texas, he was the son of the late Santiago Martinez and Herminia Lambaria Martinez. In addition to his parents, Tomas was preceded in death by his brother, Tony Martinez.
Tomas is survived by his wife, Anita Valdez; children, Kimberly Rae Martinez, and Amberly Rae Martinez; granddaughters, Alexis Rae Matew, and Imani Skye Ulloa; step-daughters, Nancy Auzza, Melisa Dayrit, Selena Valdez, and Jamie Stephan; brother, Roy Martinez; sisters, Aurora Perez, Beatrice Castilleja, Lily Wallis, and Mary Campos; and many nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 5, 2016 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel from 5:00-9:00pm with the Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00pm. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be private.

I knew Tomas to be a hard-working, honest man. Tomas was in good spirits every time I saw him and every time we met he made me feel that he was genuinely happy to see me. Thank you Tomas for always bringing a smile to my face.
