With profound sadness and endless love, we announce the passing of Valerie Ann (Page) Parrish, who entered peacefully into eternal rest on May 7, 2026, at her home in New Braunfels, Texas, surrounded by the family she loved so dearly. She was 70 years old. Valerie was born on June 29, 1955, in Inglewood, California, to Gerald and Velma Page.

Above all else, Valerie treasured her family. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, partner, and friend.  She is survived by her daughters, Christy Parrish (Daniel) and Michele Parrish; her cherished granddaughter, Rebecca Kutscher; and her longtime partner, John Kladjal. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gerald and Velma Page, and her infant brother, Clyde Page.

From the very beginning, she possessed a warm heart, a gentle spirit, and a gift for making others feel seen, valued, and loved.  Valerie had a remarkable ability to connect with people. She never met a stranger, and her genuine kindness turned acquaintances into lifelong friends. Her compassionate heart and calming presence were gifts to everyone fortunate enough to know her. Whether offering a listening ear, sharing a thoughtful word, or simply being present, Valerie made people feel at home.

At the age of 12, Valerie joined Job’s Daughters, where she formed many lifelong friendships that she treasured throughout her life. She dedicated more than 30 years of service to TRW/Northrop Grumman, where her strong work ethic, determination, and ability to create opportunities for herself earned the respect and admiration of colleagues and friends alike.

Valerie possessed a vibrant personality and a magnetic presence that naturally drew people to her. Her calm demeanor, unwavering kindness, and generous spirit provided comfort and encouragement to those around her. She cherished spending time with family and friends, sharing stories, and enjoying life’s everyday moments. Valerie enjoyed traveling with loved ones, reading, taking morning walks with friends, shopping, attending concerts, crocheting, and appreciating the beauty of nature.

She delighted in sharing her knowledge and love of plants with her granddaughter and found peace in nature, often sitting on her porch and appreciating the beauty around her. She also had a special place in her heart for her beloved four-legged companions, who brought her comfort and companionship throughout the years.

To know Valerie was to know unconditional love, unwavering loyalty, and genuine friendship. Her life was filled with laughter, compassion, and countless treasured memories. Though our hearts are broken by her absence, we are grateful for every moment we shared with her and for the love she gave so freely. Her legacy lives on in the lives she touched, the lessons she taught, and the memories that will forever bring smiles through tears.  The world feels a little less bright without Valerie in it, but her love, laughter, and spirit will continue to shine through all who were blessed to know her.

In keeping with Valerie’s wishes and in honor of her joyful nature, family and friends are invited to gather for a celebration of her life—a cocktail hour she would have thoroughly enjoyed. The gathering will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on July 11, 2026, at McAdoo’s Seafood Company, 196 N. Castell Avenue, New Braunfels, Texas 78130. Guests are encouraged to wear something red or adorned with polka dots in Valerie’s honor and to bring their favorite memories and stories to share.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made in Valerie’s name to pancreatic cancer research, Hope Hospice, or an animal rescue organization of your choice.

Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. I enjoyed the opportunity to get to know Valerie and enjoyed talking with her in the most sincere way she is a lady full of love, kindness, and hope. She will never be forgotten.

  2. Valerie was a Treasure. I truly enjoyed working with her for several years. She was always kind, and supportive, smiling and helpful. It is a great loss. Everyone who worked with her, adored her.

  3. Valerie was our neighbor for many years when she lived in California. You couldn’t ask for a more genuine, caring and compassionate neighbor. So many conversations when she walked her four legged “kids” that I will treasure.

  4. Valerie was a true treasure to work with. I will always remember her beautiful smile, thoughtful guidance, and so many chuckles we shared. Rest in peace dear one

  5. I was gifted a friendship with Valerie after her move to New Braunfels. Her beautiful smile, laughter, and ability to make you feel so comfortable enabled so many to cherish her friendship as I did. She will be deeply missed.

  6. Valerie was one of those special few whose quiet, warm charisma immediately impressed all she met. I only knew her for a couple of years, seeing her just once a month during Bunco games, but her smile and grace, her kind presence, immediately impressed upon me how fortunate I was to know her. Keep rolling the dice, Valerie. I look forward to playing Bunco with you again. I’ll bring the Bunco prize.

  7. I am so saddened to hear about Valerie’s passing. We worked together on the SBIRS Low and SSTS programs at TRW/Northrop ~ oh, the fun that was had on proposals. Val’s calm demeanor and bountiful knowledge of all that needed to be done was instrumental in the company’s successes. I was glad that we got together for occasional lunches in the South Bay after my retirement and move to NW Nevada and before her relocation to Texas. Her beautiful soul is now safely home with our Lord. Heartfelt sympathy to John and her daughters. May all your cherished memories bring you comfort.

  8. What a cherished blessing it was and always will be, to meet “Valerie Ann” when she was only 12 years old, when she joined Job’s Daughters. Valerie Ann and her wonderful Mom and Dad became a part of our extended “framily” since then. My Heart breaks for Christy, Michele, and Rebecca during this season of loss and grief, but I pray that they will be comforted by our Heavenly Father in knowing that their Mom and Grandma is once again happy, healthy, pain-free, and forever with her Mom, Dad and loved ones in Paradise, awaiting the day when we will all be reunited forever, never to be separated again! Try to remember that this is only a Good Night and not a final Good Bye. Thank you. Valerie Ann, for your kindness, for all the memories, your smiles, and for sharing your life with me. I love you and miss you, until we meet again.

  9. While I never met Valerie, I heard a many good story from John over the years. My deepest sympathies and support to the grieving family.

  10. I met Valerie several years ago and when our eyes met, I felt a sudden recognition of a kindred spirit. Our eyes met and it was an instant “deja vu” as if we’d met before. The kindness and warmth in her soul and her acceptance of others was so apparent. As the only Hispanic woman in the Bunco group, Valerie immediately made me feel welcome and accepted. She was clearly a special individual who cared about others and certainly made me feel as a part of the group. She is be dearly missed by me and so many others. RIP dear one. I know the Lord is holding you close to HIS heart.

  11. I am so extremely happy to say Valerie was my friend. A friend I will cherish forever. A friend that left the world empty without her.
    Rest In Eternal Peace

  12. Valerie was a great friend to me, especially when it came to our animals. If I needed help Val would come up to my house and together take one of my dogs down to Emergency Animal Hospital.

It was a sad day for me when I heard of her illness and later her leaving this world for her Eternal Home. But I also know I will see her again. You were and are still loved Val.

Love from Christobel, Charlotte and Boy-Boy xox

  13. I’m so glad that I was able to be a friend of Valerie’s. She was a remarkable woman and a person I enjoyed being around and visiting when I was in Texas. She will very much be missed but I know her memories will live on.

Rest in peace,Valerie. I’ll see you on the other side.

  14. 6/29/26 – Happy heavenly birthday my dear friend! You are missed more than you’ll ever know!
