  4. I was always your little brother but with the biggest love for you than you ever knew, I looked u p to you even when I had to stay behind at home, we’ll I guess some things never change, I must stay behind here again while you go on exploring. Ill see you again soon enough my Brother

  5. It is hard to put 30 years of friendship into a few words. Vern was such a special part of my life. He was kind, generous, creative, funny, and always willing to show up for the people he cared about.

I have so many memories of Vern that make me smile — chess games, picnics, adventures, laughter, and all the ordinary moments that mean so much more now. He was also there for me during some of the most difficult times in my life, and I will never forget that.

His friendship shaped more than half of my life, and I will always treasure what we shared. My deepest condolences to his family and everyone who loved him.
