Bill was a special friend for many years at woodcarving events. He will be missed and remembered at future shows and seminars. Our prayers go out to his family.
Donna and I have known Bill since the early 90’s, when he would drive from New Braunfels to Houston twice a month just to take carving classes with me…about 180 miles. I felt honored that anyone would drive that far just to take my woodcarving class. Bill was a great guy, a good friend and he could tell stories with the best of them. We will miss his humor and wit dearly. Prayers and Blessing to everyone in his family. May God draw close to everyone during this time of sorrow. May you feel his presence and hear his still small voice.
Nelson and I met Bill in 2011 when we joined the New Braunfel’s carvers group where Nelson often sat next to Bill. They visited while they carved. Bill shared lots of carving ideas and advice and always had a comical comment or two to make us chuckle. When Bill was taking rehab at Kirkwood we enjoyed going to carve with him, to whittle away an hour or two. We didn’t need to converse much, we just enjoyed sharing our common joy of carving with our buddy. Annette and Bill shared many dinners and visits with us. We miss those dear times. Blessings and Peace Cheryl and Nelson Coupland
