Zigifredo "Freddie" Luna, 67, of New Braunfels, passed away on Monday, February 11, 2013 at Sundance Inn in New Braunfels. Born on September 30, 1945 in Houston, TX, he was the son of the late Lorenzo A. Luna and Julia Sanchez Luna. In addition to his parents, Freddie was preceded in death by his brothers, Henry and Poncho Luna; and sister, Julia L. Garza. Freddie is survived by his brother, Ramon Luna and his wife Gloria; sisters, Myrna L. Garza and Virginia Campos and her husband Victor; sister-in-law, Marie C. Luna; numerous nieces and nephews; and his special friend, Mary Jane Morales and her sons. Freddie loved music, his family and friends. A Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Wednesday, February 13, 2013 with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will resume on Thursday morning from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM at Holy Family Catholic Church. Please note: there will not be a procession from the funeral home to the church on Thursday morning. All wishing to attend the visitation and Funeral Mass on Thursday are asked to meet at the church. The Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Cemetery.
