Alice L. Gomez (Chongos), age 73, passed away Saturday, December 11, 2021 in Seguin at Guadalupe Regional Medical Center. Alice was born on July 8, 1948 in Comal County to the late Severo Gomez Sr. and Josefina Lopez Gomez. Alice graduated from New Braunfels High School in 1968 and then soon after Alice worked at the New Braunfels McKenna Memorial Hospital in the early 70’s. She then moved to Houston where she lived for a few years and gave birth to her only daughter Stephanie Gomez. After returning to New Braunfels a few years later, Alice began working at local company jobs. Then in the mid 90’s Alice began her career at Taco Cabana where she became a manager in the New Braunfels Restaurant. Then moved to Seguin in the late 90’s where she continued working for Taco Cabana and retired in July 2021. Alice loved being outdoors, mowing the lawn, cleaning her car, going to Bingos and visiting her close friends and family in New Braunfels. Alice loved watching her grandkids and spending time with them. She will be greatly missed and never forgotten. She was preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Marcelina Garcia, Genevieve Torres, and Petra Hernandez. And two brothers Melchor Gomez and Severo Gomez Jr. Survivors include her loving daughter Stephanie Perez (Son-in-law Dillon Perez), grandkids Joe Angel Navarro, Justin Navarro, Matthew Navarro and Dylan Pena. In addition, Alice is also survived by sisters, Clara Meza, Maria Saenz; and brothers Rodolfo Gomez, and Jose Gomez. And numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.

  4. I remember my aunt Alice had the coolest car it was black and white. I was like 4 or 5 years old and she took me and my brother and sister for a ride. She was always a cool aunt to me. I wish I could had seen you to tell you. RIP auntie from Patricia Gomez in Florida.
