Cino B. Arriaga

cino arriaga
Cino Bernardo Arriaga, entered Heaven’s gates on Friday afternoon, October 8, 2021, at the age of 77. Cino was born on April 25, 1944 in New Braunfels, TX to the late Cenobio Arriaga and Jesusa Vidaurri Arriaga. Mr. Arriaga served his country proudly in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War while stationed Okinawa, Japan. Following his 4 year term, he met the love of his life, best friend and wife of 51 years, Mary Lou. Together they had one daughter, Rita. In 1990, Mr. Arriaga gave his life to Christ and became a man of faith. He loved to serve the Lord with all his heart and shared the gospel to whoever he met. He enjoyed his 30 year Department of Defense career painting intricate designs on our U.S. aircraft at Randolph Brooks Air Force Base. Spending time with his family was his priority, in addition he enjoyed traveling, fishing, playing golf and meeting friends at bingo. Mr. Arriaga was preceded in death by his parents, Cenobio and Jesusa Arriaga; son, C.B. Arriaga. Survivors include his wife Mary Lou (Maria Vallejo) Arriaga; daughter, Rita Johnson (Chris); grandchildren, Mikaela Johnson and C.J. Johnson; sisters, Sue Warren and Rita Cantu, and his brother, David Arriaga (Vickie). He was such a blessing to each of his family members and friends along his way. Today we salute a great man and celebrate his life. This is not goodbye, but “We will meet again”. “We love you and cherish the memories the Lord gifted us with you.” Graveside Services with military honors will be held at 9:00AM on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery, Shelter #2 with Pastor Joshua Benavides and Pastor Manuel Martinez, officiating. 4. Dear Mary Lou and my Dear Friend Rita. I am so sorry for your loss. I pray God’s comfort and peace over your heart and mind, and over your life as you adjust to life without Cino’s physical presence. As believers we know that spiritually he is alive and well in the fullness of God’s presence and glory. We have so much hope in Christ, the hope of eternal life and the hope of being joined with our loved ones again when it’s our time to leave this world. Although we miss our loved ones and our hearts hurt, we don’t grieve like those who have no hope. Mary Lou, thank you and Cino for giving us Rita. I love her to the moon and back.

  5. So sorry to hear Cino (we called him Jr. in Jr. High School) has passed away. Mary Lou please accept my condolences. I will never forget Cino, always joking and enjoying life, so glad to hear he received the Lord in his life ( Yeshua Hamashiach ( Jesus Christ) is what life is about). Rest in peace to await HIS calling.

  6. Oh dear Cino~ this is your gopher. I will never forget how you loved me…loved me to run errands for you!! I am sad I didn’t get to see you in recent years. To my Ritz and Mamasita, I love you both. My fondest memories are of Cino being “strict” but doing it with such love. I will miss him and I vow to only ever be HIS gopher. So grateful for the promise of eternal life and for full Heavenly Restoration of our bodies and souls. Heaven gained a great man. Praise the Lord! ❤️
