Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. We are deeply sorry for your loss ~ Lux Funeral Home & Cremation Services

  2. How very lucky we were to be in-laws with Gerard and Linda. Gerard was an elegant, warm and interesting man- The quintessential debonair Frenchman. He loved visiting Taos and we loved having he and his mother “Mimi”and all our extended Dufour family members that came from time to time. We will miss him deeply and will never forget the joy of being part of his life and his love in sharing his daughter Cynthia with us.

  3. Gerard came into my life when he married my sister Linda and the whole family fell in love with him also. He was such an interesting man with a very different upbringing growing up in France and in Morocco. We loved listening to his stories of his life. After we retired Chuck and I went on some trips together with Them both and we will treasure those memories forever. You will be missed.

  4. Gerard not only found a beautiful wife in America, but also her mom and dad and five siblings and their families, all who loved him very much.

  5. I always loved being in the presence of uncle Gerard. His smile lit up every room and his worldliness was always fascinating to me. All my love.

  6. Uncle Gerard will be missed by so many loved ones and friends. I will remember his charm, intelligence, and love of his family. My love to Aunt Linda, Eric, and Cynthia. I am so glad you were able to be together at the end.

  7. Q: What will you miss most about Gerard?

A: Uncle Gerard had a way of telling stories that made any young child interested. I loved listening to him talk and share his experiences about life. He was truly a loving and kind man.

    Xoxo – Micaela

  8. Gérard, my only first cousin whom I considered a bit like an older brother.
All these years he has been my confidant.
We discussed serious matters as harmless, but many of the family he was very attached to.
We supported ourselves in the face of our illness.
Distance separated us, but not feelings.
I’m going to miss him a lot, a lot. I miss him already. But the memories remain strong.
I would end with a thought from one of our great French writers
Alexandre DUMAS: “The people we loved will never be where they were again, but they are everywhere we are”.
    Evelyne

  9. Rocky and I are so grateful to have had Gerard as a close friend for over 50 years. In that time we enjoyed being together at each others homes, at special occasions and watching each others children grow and succeed in a variety of ways.. I will always remember Gerard for his charm and his friendliness. He always made it a point to greet me with a kiss on each cheek and a nice visit when I went to his house. I’m always going to cherish that memory.
