Jacqueline Ann Newman, 94 years old, passed away on September 11, 2021 in New Braunfels, Texas. Married for 73 years to William (deceased 4/25/21) Jacqueline was the beloved mother of three girls and two boys, grandmother of 13, and great grandmother of 12. Originally from Brooklyn, NY, Garden City, NY was home for over 30 years. Jackie and Bill had vacation homes in Lake Luzerne NY and West Palm Beach Florida. In 2000, Jackie and Bill moved to Midlothian VA where they remained until they moved to New Braunfels Texas in October 2019. A graduate of Katharine Gibbs Secretarial School, Jackie waited to use her secretarial skills as a school secretary until all of her children were of school age. Bill and Jackie both retired in their early 60’s and enjoyed traveling far and wide! They loved cruising and many of these trips were enjoyed with family and friends! She loved the beach and always had a beautiful tan! Jackie, an avid reader, filled her later days with solving the daily JUMBLE and reading the latest novel! A memorial Mass and burial for William and Jacqueline will be offered at Epiphany Church in Midlothian VA at a later date. The family requests donations be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105
