John B. Bell

John B. Bell, age 57, and a resident of New Braunfels, passed away unexpectedly Thursday morning, May 27, 2021, at Christus Santa Rosa Hospital in New Braunfels. John was born on January 6, 1964 in Richmond, VA to Arthur Bell and Anna May Wieterer Bell. John served his country proudly in the United States Navy. In addition, he spent 17 years as a stocker and greeter at Walmart. He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur S. Bell, Jr.; a brother, Arthur S. Bell, III; a sister, Betty Ann Belcher; a brother-in-law, Bruce Brooks; two nephews, Matt Bell and Benjamin Brooks; and two nieces, Jessica Tucker and Dakota Dewinne. Survivors include his loving wife, Darlene Bell; children, Johnathan Bell, Cody Bell, Michael Bell, Jamie Wheeler and son-in-law, Christopher Wheeler, Jeffrey Bell, Ashley Bell, Stephanie Bell, Edward Bell, and Zachery Bell; grandchildren, Aiden, Jordan, Enrique, Michael, Jr., Christi, Eva, Jessie, Gabby, Anahly, Sydni, Alexis, Robert, Jonsi, Carter, Ivee, Lainey, Abel, Alex, Joe, Evelynn, and Samuel; a sister, Susan M. Brooks of Fairbanks, Alaska, and four brothers, Joel W. Bell of Fairbanks, Alaska, Christopher J. Bell and Richard L. Bell of Seguin, TX, and Raymond Bell of New Braunfels, TX; three sisters-in-law, Nona Tucker and her husband, Gary Tucker of Medina, TX, Joyce Bell of Bristle, Tennessee and Monica Bell of Seguin, TX. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM with the funeral service beginning at 6:30 PM on Saturday, June 5, 2021, at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel. Interment with military honors will take place at 10:45 AM on Thursday, June 17, 2021 at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery. A reception will be held from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Sunday, June 6, 2021 at the VFW Post 7110, 600 Peace Ave., New Braunfels 78130.
