Manuel R. Aguilar, Jr., age 56, and a resident of San Marcos, passed away early Sunday morning, April 4, 2021 at Dell Seton Hospital in Austin. Manuel was born on April 29, 1964 in San Marcos to Manuel R. Aguilar, Sr. and Gloria Rodriguez. Manuel was a self-employed contractor for most of his professional career. He was preceded in death by his father, Manuel R. Aguilar, Sr. Survivors include his children, Manuel Brandon Aguilar, Jimmy Lee Proa, Jessica Lynn Angel, Jesus Miguel Villarreal, Jr. and Jackie Marie Villarreal; 19 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; his mother, Gloria Rodriguez; brothers, Raymond Aguilar and Tony Aguilar; sisters, Gloria Ann Dominguez, Mary Lou Alvarez and Rosalinda Villanueva; step-brother, Derrick Pastrano; half-sister, Eva Aguilar; wife, Jodi Espinoza Aguilar and children, Albert Moreno, III, Autumn Anell Natal, Christian Turnini, Noah Villanueva and Hannah Villanueva. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM with the recitation of the Holy Rosary beginning at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel. All services will end at the conclusion of the visitation on Wednesday evening.
