Marie F. Hoffman

Marie Fogler Hoffman, 101, of New Braunfels, TX passed away on Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at Kirkwood Manor in New Braunfels. Born on June 7, 1912 in Newark, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Anna Fogler. Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Hoffman in 1997 and her son, Garret Hoffman in 2010. One of nine children, Marie was the only female and the second youngest. As a young woman, she learned the skills of glass blowing in intricate designs for a New York City stain glass manufacturing company where she met her husband, Roy Hoffman. Marie liked people and became a successful businesswoman, owning and operating a furniture store, appliance store and Vacation Villas. Marie lived in New Jersey, Florida and Coppell, TX before moving to New Braunfels. Marie is survived by her son, Michael Hoffman of CA; daughter-in-law Suzanne Hoffman of New Braunfels; grandchildren, Mark Hoffman of CA, Gary Hoffman of NY and Audrey Hand of NJ; and seven great-grandchildren in three different states.
