Ronald Mitchell

Ronald B. Mitchell, 82, of Canyon Lake, passed away on 5/21/2022. He was born in Pittsburgh, PA on 10/26/1939 to Marian Mitchell and Wallace Mitchell. He married the love of his life, Janice Trocchia Mitchell, 60 years ago in 1962. He graduated from Teterboro School of Aviation, NJ and Broward Community College, FL. Ronald was a career aircraft mechanic in the USAF, Eastern Airlines, and Dee Howard. During retirement, he loved marshaling on Dell Webb’s Sun City community golf courses. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson, Mark Mitchell. Affectionately called “Pops” by his family, he is survived by his wife, Janice; sons Scott (Caroline) and John (Carol); grandchildren Amber Mitchell Morrow (Ryan), Zachry Mitchell, Katie Mitchell (Jared Eichler, fiancé); and twin great grandchildren Cohen and Tatum Morrow. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 31st at Sts. Peter & Paul Catholic Church in New Braunfels, with visitation at 9:00am, rosary at 9:30 am, and Mass of Resurrection at 10:00 am. Burial will follow at 12:15 pm, Holy Cross Cemetery, San Antonio. In lieu of flowers, donations are greatly appreciated for the Mark Mitchell Memorial Scholarship Fund at Texas Tech University.
