Ruben L. Aleman, Sr., a life-long resident of New Braunfels, passed away on Thursday, October 6, 2011 in New Braunfels at the age of 63. Ruben was born on April 8, 1948 in New Braunfels to Alejandro Aleman and Paubla Luna Aleman. He later married Evangelina Martinez on June 14, 1964. Mr. Aleman is survived by his loving wife, Evangelina Aleman; children, Ruben Aleman, Jr. and wife, Consuelo, Maria Vargas and husband, Juan, Elisia Hernandez and husband, Antonio, Rudy Aleman and wife, Maria, Adela Nieves and husband, Jaime, Susan Martinez and husband, Raul, Rosalinda Ugalde and husband, Miguel, Cynthia Navarro and husband, Guillermo and Gabriel Aleman and wife, Edna, and son-in-law, Leo Quiroga. In addition, 38 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren survive Ruben as well. Visitation will take place from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Sunday, October 9, 2011 at the Funeral Home Chapel with a Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM. Funeral services are scheduled for 10:30 AM on Monday, October 10, 2011 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel. All services will end at the conclusion of the chapel service.
