Domingo A. Villalobos, age 78, of New Braunfels, passed away on Friday, January 11, 2013 at Christus Santa Rosa Hospital in New Braunfels. A life-long resident of New Braunfels, Domingo was born on May 5, 1934 in New Braunfels to Mariano and Manuela Villalobos. He was a loving and dedicated family man. He was also passionate about spending time with his grandchildren. He enjoyed trains, fishing and working in his yard as well. There wasn't a day that passed by that he wouldn't talk about trains. He lived out his passion by working for Katy Railroad and UP Railroad for 33-years. Domingo was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Lorene Salas, Jose, Jesse and Gabriel Villalobos. Survivors include his loving wife of 50-years, Rosa Villalobos; son, Tony Villalobos; daughters, Virginia Villalobos, Christina Rivera and husband, Johnny and Denise Ayala and husband, Gus; grandchildren, Ashley Perez and husband, Rene, Alexandria and Amanda Rivera, Andrew and Aaron Ayala and Adrianna Lopez; great-grandchild, Hannah Perez; sisters, Viola Palacios and husband, Claudio, Amalia Williams and husband, Wayne, and Lena Villalobos; brothers-in-law, Clem Gutierrez and wife, Martina and Rudy Gutierrez. In addition, numerous nieces and nephews survive Domingo as well. Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM with a Holy Rosary to be recited at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at the Lux Funeral Home Chapel. Visitation will resume on Wednesday, January 16, 2013 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Funeral services will follow beginning at 10:00 AM at the funeral home.   2. Oh my gosh,so many many memories of you Tio Mingo. Where do I start? Your famous caldo with Fritos,of course. Cruising down River Road,the dances at Western Palms.Swimming and fishing on the river,they were great times. Thank-you Tio,for everything.Rest in peace.
